Shawn Bandali

Shawn Bandali graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto in 1992. Over the past 20 years he has completed numerous post graduate courses in the field of Orthopedics allowing him to provide his patient’s with highly effective treatment to help them recover from a wide variety of injuries, including neck and back injuries, sports injuries, tendonitis, muscle strains and ligament sprains, repetitive strain injuries as well as arthritic conditions. He also has a special interest in Foot Biomechanics and Orthotic Therapy.

His knowledge in analyzing the walking (gait) patterns of his patients allows him to identify alignment issues that may be contributing to their pain. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Shawn’s voluntary position as the Medical Director of Rehab Services for The Toronto Marathon. The Toronto Marathon raises millions of dollars every year for the Princess Margaret Hospital in the fight against cancer.

Shawn for the past 8 years has also been a volunteer event organizer raising funds for a non-profit charitable organization called Health Outreach. This charity is dedicated to providing health services including public health, to impoverished people in remote areas of developing countries with the goal of enhancing lives.

Chris Henderson

Chris is a registered physiotherapist and is a member of the Orthopaedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA). He graduated from The University of Sydney in Australia where he received his Masters degree in Physiotherapy. Prior to his physiotherapy education, Chris received his Bachelor of Kinesiology (Honours) Degree from Brock University.

Experienced in working with a wide spectrum of clients with varying musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and neurological injuries and conditions, Chris is involved in ongoing education and professional development. In 2016, Chris completed the Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy Diploma Program from the CPA and is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists (FCAMPT).

Carolina Acosta

Carolina Acosta graduated from the Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) program at CDI College in Toronto. Carolina has over 10 years of experience working with a variety of patient populations in the rehabilitation setting.

Carolina is a valuable employee who implements care and treatments in a dedicated and honest manner, helping patients get the most of out of the rehabilitation process. Some of her treatments include patient-specific therapeutic exercises, Neuromuscular Electrical stimulation, Therapeutic Ultrasound and other modalities.


Carolina has taken several continuing education courses, including Bobath/NDT method, the Functional Movement System (FMS) and exercise for the older adult. She has certificates in Pilates mat work and CPR training. Carolina continues to add to her knowledge base by attending seminars and courses related to rehabilitation exercises.

In Carolina’s spare time, she likes to maintain an active life style participating in tennis, yoga classes and biking.

Sabrina Ait-Ouali

Sabrina is a Registered Physiotherapist who received a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. Prior to this, she graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelors of Science in Human Kinetics. She speaks English and French fluently.

Throughout her career, Sabrina has developed a keen interest in a variety of rehabilitative therapies. She has obtained certification in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy Level 1, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy Part A, Acupuncture, and Soft Tissue Release. Additionally, she is a certified Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. She looks forward to developing her expertise in Advanced Manual and Manipulative therapy, Acupuncture and Dry Needling, and Pelvic Health therapies.

Sabrina is passionate about treating acute and chronic orthopedic conditions through individualized and holistic care. She believes in incorporating manual therapy, acupuncture, targeted exercises, and patient-centered education to guide individuals towards their goals and states of optimal well-being.

In her free time, Sabrina enjoys an active lifestyle, which includes biking and rock climbing. She also has a love for traveling.

Kyla Alsbury

Kyla Alsbury is a registered physiotherapist who graduated from Queen's University with a Masters degree in Physiotherapy. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts & Science from McGill University.

Kyla has completed the Manual Therapy Level 1 course and is eager to pursue further manual therapy education. She has also completed a Soft Tissue Release certification, K-Taping Sport course, and is currently working on her AFCI acupuncture AA1 course. Kyla is a certified yoga instructor, having completed her 200 hour training with the Anjeli Yoga Teacher Training.

In addition, Kyla is a triathlete who also enjoys strength training. She loves working both with athletes and anyone motivated to feel and move better!

Andrew Babawy

Andrew is a registered physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of Ottawa.

His treatment philosophy emphasizes education, manual therapy, and exercise to help clients reach their goals and return to their normal activities without pain or restrictions.

Andrew is passionate about physiotherapy and is a huge believer in lifelong learning. He has completed courses in Soft Tissue Release, Taping, and is currently undertaking the Level 2 Manual Therapy course through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Andrew is looking forward to completing advanced courses in Manual and Manipulative therapy, running injury prevention and treatment, and acupuncture.

Outside of the clinic, Andrew enjoys travelling, strength training, yoga, and exploring the city.

Megan McInroy

Megan is a Registered Physiotherapist and has been practicing in the field of orthopedic physical therapy for over 6 years. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree with honours in Kinesiology from the University of New Brunswick. In 2008, Megan completed her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto.  She is consistently expanding her skills and knowledge base through continuing education. She has completed her Level 1 Manual Therapy course along with several workshops on various manual therapy techniques.  Megan has also completed her Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program at McMaster University.

Megan’s treatment approach is centered on identifying the origin of injury or impairment and developing a customized treatment plan consisting of manual therapy, exercise and education, to help her patients achieve maximal recovery. She is passionate about physiotherapy and dedicated to her patients and their well-being. Outside of work, Megan enjoys spinning, travelling and being outdoors.

Alex Singh

Registered Physiotherapist & Vestibular Rehab Therapist

Alex graduated from the University of Toronto in 2010 with a Master’s Degree of Science in Physical Therapy. He has been working as a full time physiotherapist since. He continues to add to his knowledge and experience by taking many different courses through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute and Acupuncture Canada. He has completed his Advanced Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy and is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). He has also done training in vestibular rehabilitation and successfully completed, Vestibular Rehabilitation: A Competency Based Course, at Emory University.  

At PhysioFirst he is solely focused on diagnosing and treating patients with dizziness and vertigo. He diagnoses and treats all related conditions including BPPV, vestibular neuritis, labyrinthitis, Meniere's disease and stroke related vertigo and dizziness. He also uses highly specialized equipment to inform the assessment and make a more accurate diagnosis. 

Karli Swatridge

Karli is a Registered Massage Therapist and graduate of Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic. Before becoming an RMT, Karli completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University as well as a Master of Science from the University of Waterloo. Her massage therapy experience as a student includes working with chronic stroke survivors, breast cancer patients, pregnant woman, recreational athletes and NHL players.

Karli recognizes the importance of massage therapy for injury prevention and rehabilitation as well as for relaxation and works with her patients to achieve their individual goals. She is currently studying Osteopathy at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in hopes of gaining greater insight into how to help the body help itself heal. Outside of work, Karli enjoys running, playing soccer and basketball and spending time with family and friends!

Rose Wilson

Rose completed her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto after graduating with a Bachelors of Applied Science in Kinesiology at the University of Guelph-Humber.

Through her clinical experience, Rose has had the opportunity to treat a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Rose utilizes a treatment approach that combines manual therapy, exercise and education to help clients recover from injury and meet their goals.

Rose is passionate about continued education and has completed courses in Soft Tissue Release, Basic Taping and has obtained Level I Certification in Manual Therapy from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Rose is looking forward to completing advanced courses in Manual and Manipulative therapy, Acupuncture, Active Release Techniques and Mulligan Concept.
